That’s not a new phenomenon. In the days of the Old Testament prophets, God’s chosen people look like they had it all together, but underneath were fault lines. But these prophets are God’s mouthpiece! And God uses them to reveal what’s gone wrong in the hearts of men.

Their message is intense, but not without hope. There’s only one way out, one way to avoid complete destruction. And that is to return to the heart of God.
