children

Dear Parent,

There are roughly 5,376 hours (not including sleep) in the year that you spend raising your children in Jesus.  We are grateful to come along side of you to help for about 40 to 50 of those 5,376 hours.  So though we think highly of our Sunday morning children’s ministry we think far higher of you and your role in helping your children follow Jesus into the world.  This is the foundation of what we call Children of Hope, our children’s ministry- that every child in the city of Annapolis and beyond would be filled with hope having a chance to receive and respond to grace.  There are three parts to our ministry that we think you will be encouraged by.

+ Helping parents lead their children into receiving and responding to the gospel.
We do this by weekly asking ourselves questions regarding how we are raising our children in our Life Groups, teaching Dad’s and Mom’s how to holistically disciple and lead their family spiritually and leading seminars on biblical parenting topics.  We are still in the process of developing this.

+ Helping our children’s friends and their families receive and respond to the gospel.
We do this through creating safe environments in community to invite families that they might experience the love of Jesus among other families and get a picture of what it would look like for their family to follow Jesus.  This happens through our communities.

+ Helping our children receive and respond to the gospel on Sunday mornings.
We do this by grounding our curriculum in the gospel every Sunday morning where your child will experience a holistic gospel centered curriculum called Elevate.  Currently we only have a Sunday Morning Children's Ministry at our 1st Sunday Church Wide Gathering the Uptown Neighborhood Gathering.
