His Steadfast Love

The pattern here is pretty evident – in all things, past, present and future, His steadfast love endures forever. The psalmist proclaims God’s omnipotence then recounts the evidence of His relationship with His creation from the beginning to the present. Certainly, we can continue this movement:
He gave us His Son, His only Son to cover our sins,
For his steadfast love endures forever.
He sent his Holy Spirit to all who call upon His name,
For his steadfast love endures forever.
He has established and guided his church, the bride of Christ,
For his steadfast love endures forever.
When we fall short, His grace is sufficient,
For his love endures forever.
He has gifted us family and community,
For his love endures forever.
We could go on and on… maybe that’s how you spend your time this morning. Recall God’s steadfast love in your life – before you were formed in the womb, and beyond your last breath, his love is the common thread. How great is the Lord! How kind and loving is the Father!

Heavenly Father, your steadfast love endures forever! Thank you for ordering your creation and humanity and time in such a way that I am alive and breathing today. As I breathe in the very air you have given me, I breathe out your praise. Hallelujah, Amen.
